Resignation Letter from Town Prosecutor

Residents of Haymarket,

Anyone who attended the last public Haymarket Town Council meeting will recall the Mayor stating that the Town's Police Department Prosecutor resigned due to the recent "bad press" the town received. I guess that we can all see that wasn't exactly the truth. I am sure the Reporters that were in attendance will have some questions.

In addition to hiding the truth about the attorney's resignation from the public who has a right to know what is happening in their own government, the Mayor hid this fact from the Town Council also. She REFUSED to release this resignation letter to any of the council members except one.

Is the Mayor protecting the Chief of Police or herself? What else is she hiding?

Out of Curiosity

Just out of curiosity, why is it eveyone can jump up and down on this website, but if it comes to saying something at a actual Town Council meeting (where it really counts), everyone is part of the silent majority.

Rather then whining on a website, why not step up to the plate and speak your concerns. Because a voice in the crowd is good to to start a riot, but a voice in front can start a revoloution

Town Council Should have Listened

Town Council,

If you had taken my complaint seriously about the Officer leaving court, none of this would have been brought to the attention of the press and now to the public. Mayor Stutz and Sheila Jarboe, you have only yourselves to blame for this predicament that you are now in.

I bet if a certain other officer had left court early, he would have been terminated. Ohhh that's right, you already did that.

This is what happens when you try to cover up the truth! Mayor Stutz, unlike the Chief, please do what is right for the Town of Haymarket. I believe it is time for you to tender your resignation.

It makes about as much sense as you all posting that letter that is considered a Town Hall of Haymarket, VA sensitive and a personnel issue on a www website .

This is a sad day in Haymarket for sure...

The saying, "The Truth Hurts" sure hits home on this one...

The Chief should have been gone long ago and now we have to find a new Prosicutor....

All because of covering up things that NEVER should have happened in the first place!
